Singer and top video clip entertainer

~ ON GROWING UP IN LEBANON

Growing up, I was a regular kid. Nothing special, I was just like everyone else. I started singing at parties at eight years old and recorded my first CD at 12. Even with that, life was still very normal.

~ ON FRIENDS AND FREE TIME

I really don't have too many friends. That's the way it was when I was growing up. Family has always been the most important the people I share my life with. I guess I don't even have enough free time for friends because of all of the concerts and singing.

~ ON HER EMERGENCE AS A SINGER

My father is my inspiration without a doubt. And my grandmother had a great voice. My mom was against a singing career from the start. He answer was “NO” in a big way. Only after I became famous did she ease up.

~ ON THE IDEAL SPOUSE/PARTNER

No one can chose who they love. You just fall when it's right. First of all my dream man has to respect me as a person. Cute [laughs] of course. He has to be a real man. I don't want to be with Mr. Nancy Ajram! Right now there's no one on the horizon.

~ ON IF SUCCESS HAS CHANGED HER

I am the same person now as the girl I was before fame hit. I listen and obey my mom and dad no matter what. Sometimes there is cooking to be done and when there are chores, I do my part. It is the same today as it was when I was younger.

~ ON HER FAVORITE DESIGNER

Zuhair Murad designs all of my performance clothes. He does it all. Whenever I am on stage, I am wearing his designs. When I am away from the stage, jeans and t-shirts are what I live it. Iceberg is a favorite of mine.

~ ON HER DEAL WITH COCA-COLA

After two years of negotiation, my first commercial is a great sucess with the adaptation of “Eyh Oul Tani,” and the second will be ready at end of the summer. When spotting my Diet Coke, she asked, “Do you always choose Coke as your drink?” [When I replied yes, she gave a big thumbs up.] “Thank you!” (she smiles).
