ALO Hayati® Magazine Named Presenting Sponsor of the 19th Annual Miss Asia USA Pagent

GLENDALE, CALIFORNIA - JUNE 10, 2007 - ALO Hayati® magazine, the top lifestyle and cultural publication representing Middle East topics has teamed up with Virgelia Productions as the presenting sponsor for the Miss Asia USA pageant, a major cultural event that celebrates the inner beauty, poise and confidence of women along with the heritage of their cultures. The 19th Annual event is scheduled to take place June 30, 2007 at Glendale’s Alex Theatre.

As the singular voice for the Middle Eastern communities that trumpets cultural unity and diversity, ALO and the Miss Asia USA pageant are perfectly aligned: both celebrate the countless stories of culture and heritage which are filled with life's experiences.

Nationwide Search for The Next Face of ALO

To encourage real people with real stories to come forward, ALO is unleashing a coast-to-coast search for the 10 men and women who best embody the ALO’s brand of cultural diversity. "Those selected know exactly who they are and where they came from while integrating with other cultures and lifestyles” said Michael Lloyd, Editor-in-chief of ALO. “When you feel good about what you represent, the confidence shows."

To enter ALO Star Quest: The Search for the Next Face of ALO contestants are asked to send in their photo or videotape, include a bio, age, place of residence and share how their culture and heritage shines through in their own lifestyle from June 11 through November 30. Each of the 10 winners will be featured in separate on-air vignettes highlighting their unique stories and cultural philosophies, which will air on worldwide television. Crowning a Queen

25 beautiful young women of Asian heritage compete for the coveted title of Miss Asia USA 2007. With actors Bai Ling and David Milbern hosting the festivities, along with a distinguished panel of judges led by radio/television personality and host Kerri Kasem and an extensive entertainment lineup led by international recording artists and groundbreaking internet video filmmakers Fuji Minx a sold out show is expected once again expected, event producers are confident that this year's pageant will be a great success. “I am sure our new queen will be someone who is equally beautiful on the inside and the outside,” says Virgelia Villegas, president of Virgelia Productions, producer of the Miss Asia USA, Mrs. Asia USA, and Ms. Teen Asia USA pageants. “She will embrace her culture and share with us the heritage of where she originally.” The pageant will kick off with the first category of competition in a Parade of National Costumes as the delegates exhibit the finest traditions of their cultural heritage, followed by the sensational Swimsuit competition, then on to the grace and elegance of the Evening Gown competition. The five members of the distinguished panel of judges will select the one young ladies fortunate enough to become Queen.

Miss Asia USA Pageant is the premiere Cultural Pageant participated in by Asian women in the United States, who trace their ancestry to the 59 countries considered part of the Asian continent.

For the past 19 years, Asian women from all over the United States between the ages of 18-28, gather in the name of friendly competition to vie for the coveted title Miss Asia USA. The Pageant promotes leadership, personal growth, strengthen cultural values and camaraderie. The delegate will not only be an epitome of beauty and intelligence but a reflection of the unity and sociability of her country.
