Rock’in Hearts:

PRESS DELEGATION TEAM RETURNS FROM EGYPT

$400,000 in Earned Media Expected Across Seven Publications and Websites for the Country

Northridge, CaliforniaMarch 25, 2008 – Early this month, ALO, America’s Top Middle Eastern Lifestyle Magazine, returned from leading an eight-day Egyptian press delegation, sponsored by Egypt Air, Egyptian Tourist Authority and Unique Image, Inc., with North American reporters and community figures, filled with new vigor for uniting cultures.

“This delegation is more than a press trip,” explains Wafa Kanan, publisher of ALO magazine and delegation chair. “The Rock’in Hearts delegation’s central purpose is designed to connect cultures through the lifestyles and commonalities we all share.”

The ALO team of delegates including Kanan, Michael Lloyd (ALO editor-in-chief), talk show host Kerri Kasem, travel writers Bruce Northam (New York Newsday and Hamptons Magazine), Mike Bauer (syndicated columnist), Ryan Murdock (Outlook Magazine and Toronto Star), and Steve Smith (intheknowtraveler.com), Photographer Jason George (Outlook Magazine and Toronto Star), Harutune Hamassian, President of Hamassian Financial Services Inc., Rodri Rodriguez, President and CEO of Rodri Entertainment Inc., and Virgelia Villegas, President of Virgelia Productions Inc. (producer of the Miss Asia USA Pageant), have a shared interest in educating people about the Middle East through their own creative outlets.

“Bringing in a team of creative and talented people allows us to expand our mission exponentially as we continue to educate and encourage new perspectives about the Middle Eastern culture,” says Lloyd.

The delegation took place in early March as a part of a series of press events that strive to educate people about the Middle East through first-hand experiences, later shared with the American public and the world. The delegations are sponsored by The Rock’in Hearts program, a special philanthropic program designed by ALO’s publisher, Unique Image, Inc.  During the delegation the team took the initiative to visit the ABAT orphanage, where a donation was made to help the girls and boys of Alexandria facility, a philosophical task that is at the heart of the program’s own mission and vision for making a difference.

The press delegates received tremendous support from the Egyptian Consulate Generals in San Francisco, the Egyptian Tourism Authority in New York, and Egypt Air.  The partnerships created and the friendships built, allows ALO to continue its responsibility of leading as a cultural liaison between the Middle East and the United States.
